No. We recognize that Native identity, belonging, and community relationships are not defined solely by federal recognition or enrollment. Please review our eligibility guidelines in the grant announcement for more information about who is eligible.

That's okay! Our seasonal areas are intended to guide our grantmaking, not put Native work and community into rigid boxes. Apply during the season that most closely connects to what you are making possible and when you need the support.

No. We want to support programming year-round, and seasonal grant cycles are intended to provide opportunities for more applicants to receive funding.

No. We are unable to fund activities or expenses that take place before a gift is awarded.

We aim for a rapid turnaround, but this depends on number of applications received and sometimes the decision-making process takes longer than expected. We will communicate with applicants throughout this process.

Funds will be sent through Bill.com, either electronically or by check – your choice. If you prefer ePayment, please be on the lookout for a separate email from Bill.com with an invitation to create an account. From there, you will be prompted to add your preferred bank account, and that’s it – a payment will deposit to your account within the payment timeframe, generally a couple days. (If the bill.com system prompts you to create an invoice, you can ignore it!) Please email grants@potlatchfund.org or bookkeeper@potlatchfund.org if you have any questions.

No, this is not required for access to funds but we would love to hear how this grant supported you or your project! A Potlatch Fund employee may reach out to hear impact stories and or with survey questions. The better we can share your stories and our impact the better we can communicate this to our audiences to raise more dollars to get out to the Community.

We will not be performing a traditional reporting process; rather, we are seeking to hear your story. Sharing stories, social media links and pictures will serve to highlight impact and future needs. We welcome stories, pictures, feedback, and candid lessons learned at any time.

We love celebrating the work of our relatives, but we will ask permission before sharing personal stories, photographs, or other information beyond what is necessary to administer the gift.
